Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers with patient care, performing clinical tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. As an important point of contact for our company and our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, professional patient care and clinical skills to ensuring smooth operations with clinical tasks and patient care. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual in both English and Spanish is
REQUIRED.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome patients with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Coordinate scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
  • Take and record patient vital signs into paper charts and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring, venipuncture, and IV infusion.
  • Ensure laboratory and examination rooms are stocked up with sufficient supplies provided in the clinic.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a healthcare team.
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish is
REQUIRED.
Experience:
  • Previous experience working as a medical assistant in a family medicine or primary care setting is required.
  • Certification as a medical assistant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish
