Atlanta, GA Overview:
Our practice in Atlanta is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support exam room patient care, vitals, and clinical documentation. This role offers a four-day work week with some clinical MA experience preferred.
Position Offers:
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-4:00/4:30 PM Competitive pay: $26.00 per hour to start (DOE) Four-day work week
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients and measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens, preparing them for laboratory processing Update medications and administer injections per provider orders, documenting accurately in the medical record Order labs and imaging studies such as MRIs Take phone messages and coordinate patient flow with physicians, nurses, and staff Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR Uphold HIPAA standards and patient confidentiality in all interactions Assist with routine clinical tasks such as stocking exam rooms and maintaining a clean, safe environment
Qualifications:
Some clinical Medical Assistant experience Current BLS certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start date
