Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories, review of systems, and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, X-ray preparation, and basic life support during emergencies. Support physicians and nurses practitioners with procedures. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately by documenting patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating medical records promptly. Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring a comfortable experience during visits. Requirements Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; prior experience in orthopaedics/spine is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding to accurately document patient encounters. Hands-on experience in our EMR system, Athena Health is a plus. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications in X-ray operation is a plus. Strong communication skills with a passion for delivering compassionate patient care; ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments. Must be open to work at Conyers, Buckhead, and Riverdale location with reliable means of transportation. Pay:

$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
