required or needed. Medical Assistant Clinical Neurology - Cumming, GA Full Time Seeking Full-Time Medical Assistant. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Medical practice at Northside Hospital Forsyth. Office hours Monday - Friday 800 am -5:00 pm. If you are a job hopper or do not have a strong work history...this job is not for you! We are NOT looking for someone who cannot put their cellphone down to do their job. We are only interested in applicants that are serious about their employment. Must have strong organizational and computer skills. Allscripts/Veradigm software applications knowledge a plus! Applicant must be extremely detail oriented, capable of multi-tasking and possess great people skills. Must be a good team player and a self-starter. Your duties include but are not limited to: Taking vital signs and reviewing medications and allergies with patients; locating any pending labs or completed, hospital records, diagnostic tests for doctors to review and scan into EHR. Complete standing lab orders and follow up on incomplete labs. Set ups and preps patients for procedures including obtaining necessary documentation and signatures. Works messages in EHR including calling patients and assists wherever needed. Checks phone messages and enters into EHR. Phones prescriptions into pharmacy when approved by physician. Works with insurance companies to obtain prior authorization for medications. Very busy neurology practice, must be able to multi-task, work efficiently and stay on task.
