Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care by supporting providers, preparing patients for appointments, performing clinical procedures, and ensuring a positive patient experience from check-in through treatment. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome patients and prepare them for appointments and examinations. Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health screenings. Perform point-of-care laboratory testing, EKGs, phlebotomy, specimen processing, dressing changes, and suture/staple removal. Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits. Administer oral (PO), intramuscular (IM), and intradermal (ID) medications as directed by the provider while following medication administration protocols. Process prescription refill requests as directed by the provider. Educate patients on prescribed medications, treatment plans, and dietary instructions. Maintain clean, stocked, and organized treatment rooms and medical equipment. Complete quality control checks and ensure equipment is functioning properly. Support patient engagement initiatives and contribute to a welcoming clinical environment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification preferred (if applicable). Previous experience in a medical office, urgent care, or outpatient clinic preferred. Proficiency in phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and basic clinical procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
