Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where you will be the friendly face and efficient organizer. This vital role combines patient service excellence with clinical assistance, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a moderate-paced medical environment. You'll be instrumental in providing compassionate patient care, managing administrative tasks, and supporting clinical workflows across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and current medications during patient intake. Prepare exam rooms, assist healthcare providers during procedures, and support basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection or X-ray setup. Support physicians with medication administration, wound care, or other bedside procedures in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings. Manage appointment scheduling, patient correspondence, and documentation to ensure seamless clinic operations. Maintain accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Assist with administrative duties such as answering phones, coordinating referrals, and processing insurance information. Requirements Experience in a clinical setting such as urgent care, or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and ICD coding standards. Familiarity with Athena EHR systems and medical administrative support functions is essential. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and support patient care activities Strong communication skills with a passion for delivering exceptional patient services. Pay:
