In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized departments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. Your expertise will support clinical operations, enhance patient experiences, and ensure smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient service while maintaining compliance with medical standards and protocols. Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and documenting symptoms accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including setting up X-ray or ultrasound equipment when necessary Support physicians and nurses with medication administration, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) procedures in accordance with safety guidelines Perform clinical tasks such as drawing blood, administering injections, and monitoring patient responses during outpatient or inpatient visits Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses to ensure proper billing and record-keeping in compliance with healthcare regulations Assist with emergency medicine protocols at Level I or Level II trauma centers, including triage and rapid assessment of critical patients Support medical administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining accurate documentation of procedures and treatments Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately support clinical assessments Experience working in dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers or emergency departments with Level I or Level II trauma center experience Proficiency with EHR systems for documentation, order entry, and coding purposes Ability to perform X-ray procedures or assist in the operating room (OR) environment when needed Skilled in patient service delivery with excellent communication skills to comfort and educate patients effectively Familiarity with inpatient care protocols across various specialties including geriatrics, medical-surgical units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), internal medicine, and outpatient clinics Knowledge of ICD coding standards for accurate diagnosis documentation and billing compliance Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) are a plus Join us to be part of a dedicated healthcare team that values energetic professionals committed to making a difference!
