What You'll Do Clinical Support Assist the physician during appointments and procedures Perform phlebotomy confidently and independently with excellent patient experience and specimen handling practices Conduct point-of-care testing including (but not limited to): Urine pregnancy testing Urinalysis / urine dip testing Rapid in-office testing as offered by the practice Perform specimen collection, processing, and coordination with outside labs Maintain exam room, supplies, and clinical inventory Support medication dispensation inventory and management Support in-office procedures, sterile equipment cleaning, and equipment preparation Patient Experience, Front Desk & Administrative Support Deliver exceptional customer service through every patient interaction—in person, by phone, and electronically Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and families and help create a calm, hospitality-driven office environment Previous experience in reception, scheduling, or front office workflows strongly preferred Comfortably support front desk operations including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, check-in/check-out, and managing incoming requests Assist with patient scheduling, care coordination, referrals, follow-up communication, and patient education Support in-basket messaging management and timely patient communication Complete prior authorizations with persistence, patience, and strong attention to detail Help maintain organized workflows, office systems, supplies, and day-to-day practice operations Contribute to practice operations and continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For Certified or experienced Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA preferred but not required with strong experience) Previous experience working in primary care, women's health/Ob/Gyn, urgent care preferred Knowledge of and passion for direct primary care and lifestyle medicine preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding standards and pharmacology principles. Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy (required) Experience performing point-of-care testing and following clinical protocols Comfortable balancing both clinical responsibilities and receptionist/front desk duties in a small practice environment Enjoys creating a polished, welcoming patient experience and taking ownership of administrative details Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Patience and persistence with administrative processes, especially prior authorizations Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Comfortable working independently and wearing multiple hats in a small practice environment Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and a high level of empathy Interest in lifestyle medicine, patient education, and relationship-based care Demonstrated proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and medical office management software.
