Preparing patients and examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment Collecting specimens for laboratory tests and assisting the physician during exams and medical procedures Conducting new patient in-takes, including medical history and insurance information Updating patient medical files, MA is responsible for assuring patient files are complete and intact before and after each visit.
