Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in providing high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients, take vital signs, and document medical histories Assist with exams and procedures as needed (wound care, pap smears, ear irrigation, vaccinations) Administer injections, immunizations, and accurate documentation Conduct EKGs, collect lab specimens, and perform basic laboratory tests (accu-check, A1C, lipid profile, Influenza A/B swab, COVID-19 swab, RSV and Strep swab) Ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized between patients Handle administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, patient letters and prescription refills Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Provide excellent customer service and patient education
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) required At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred Familiarity with EMR systems (Elation or Epic) Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
