Overview UnityPoint Clinic Clinical Care Attendant
  • CMA Ankeny Express Care Ankeny, IA Monday-Friday 8AM-8PM
  • 3 days/week + weekend rotation Weekend rotation
  • Saturday & Sunday 8AM-8PM
  • Shift differential paid for evening and weekend hours!
Full-time + benefits The Clinical Care Attendant supports providers by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role includes patient intake, vital sign collection, performing point-of-care tests, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient experience from arrival to checkout. The attendant acts as a key team member, facilitating communication between patients, providers, and staff while maintaining compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards. Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health. Responsibilities Greet, register, and room patients; collect vital signs and patient history. Assist providers with clinical procedures and perform point-of-care testing as directed. Provide patient education and comfort, review after-visit instructions, and conduct follow-up calls. Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and clinic logs per protocol. Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and staff effectively. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and safety standards. Participate in clinic meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations. Qualifications Current certification as CMA Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required: National Healthcare Association American Association of Medical Assistants National Center for
Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant National Association of Health Professionals American Registry of Medical Assistants American Allied Health American Medical Technologists Certified Medical Assistant:
Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or associate's degree) required. Clinical experience preferred! Epic experience a plus! For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
