Job Description

Optician/Technician Eye Associates is looking for a positive, energetic, motivated professional to become part of our team! Our position requires the desired candidate to have the ability to fit and educate our patients with quality eyewear, as well as assist with pre-testing and patient intake. This person must have effective communication skills with our patients and team members. They must also possess high attention to detail and be well organized while being able to multitask. Job Responsibilities:
OPTICIAN
Recommend appropriate frames, materials and lens coatings based on visual needs and lifestyle ensuring proper fit, accurate measurements and patient satisfaction Adjust eyewear to obtain patient comfort and functionality Submit optical orders through insurance providers Ensure cleanliness of optical displays and frame inventory Troubleshooting with patients regarding eyewear in person or on phone Complete additional office tasks including, but not limited to, scheduling appointments, insurance documentation, triage phone calls, etc.
TECHNICIAN
  • Preliminary testing
  • Update health history
  • Assist Doctor with various other eye care related tasks
Basic Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent Strong customer service skills Ability to communicate with patients and coworkers Embrace new technology and change Ability to handle interruptions and multitask Competent math and computer skills Punctual/flexible Flexibility to work from other locations as needed Preferred Qualifications (not required): ABO certified 1 year optical or technician experience
Job Type/hours:
Full or part-time position with occasional Saturdays (8-12pm)

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
