Job Description
Overview Pink Couch Wellness is growing, and we're looking for a compassionate, organized professional to join our team. If you enjoy helping others, thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and love being part of a collaborative team, we'd love to meet you. This in-person role provides administrative and clinical support to our therapists and medication management providers while helping create a welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors. What You'll Do As an Administrative Assistant / Medical Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping our office running smoothly by: Scheduling patient appointments Assisting medication management providers with collecting patient vitals Managing insurance prior authorizations and medication pre-authorizations Supporting daily administrative tasks Triaging incoming phone calls and directing patient needs appropriately Communicating with patients, pharmacies, insurance companies, and healthcare providers Collecting and updating patient demographic and insurance information Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits Assisting with billing-related questions as needed Completing provider task requests Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation Protecting patient confidentiality and maintaining HIPAA compliance Helping create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for every patient We're Looking For Someone Who Is Organized and detail-oriented Friendly, professional, and compassionate Comfortable multitasking in a busy medical office An excellent communicator, both on the phone and in person A self-starter who enjoys solving problems Able to maintain strict confidentiality Passionate about providing exceptional patient care and service Preferred Qualifications CNA, LPN, Medical Assistant certification, or comparable healthcare office experience High school diploma or equivalent (additional education preferred) Experience with medical scheduling, insurance verification, or prior authorizations preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Excellent organizational and time management skills Why Pink Couch Wellness?
