POSITION SUMMARY
Idaho Hand Institute is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our orthopedic hand and upper extremity specialty practice. The Medical Assistant works closely with physicians, physician assistants, and clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care while supporting efficient clinic operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, injections, and patient care. Coordinates referrals, authorizations, imaging, prescriptions, and follow-up care. Communicates test results and provide instructions to patients. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies. Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards. Support a positive patient experience through professional and compassionate service.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures. Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Medical Assistan certification or completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred but not required. Previous medicla office or orthopedic experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Exposure to medical office and clinical environments.
COMPENSATION
