Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to medical professionals in specialist office setting. We are a private practice consisting of 6 Rheumatologists with 2 locations; seeking a fulltime MA in both our Barrington and Elk Grove Village (800 Biesterfield Rd.) locations, occasional coverage in your non primary location will be needed.Responsibilities:
- Take and record vital signs accurately for 2 physicians a day
- Ensure patient records have been uploaded to their charts from hospital systems
- Administer medications under the direction of a physician/nurse
- Provide patient education; answer and return patient calls
- Respond to tasks from physicians and other team members
Qualifications:
- Certification or diploma in Medical Assistant preferred (not required)
- Ability to perform tasks such as taking vital signs and entering patient assessments
- Knowledge of anatomy, medication administration, and lab/radiology coding preferred
- Polish speaking or Spanish speaking preferred
- Ability to prioritize and work as a team This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where you can utilize your skills to provide quality care to patients.
