The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with a positive attitude. The candidate must be mature, responsible, reliable, and able to work with speed and accuracy while delivering stellar customer service to our patients. Possible office locations include Sycamore, Geneva and Elgin, IL. Inquire for details.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant provides physician support to ensure that healthcare operations run smoothly. They will prepare patients and rooms for examination, take vitals, obtain medical histories, perform injections, EKGs, ear lavage and other assigned tasks. Some MA's will also scribe for the provider. The Medical Assistant will also perform administrative tasks, such as phone triage, notifying patients of results, faxes, refill requests, referrals and prior authorizations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Anticipate physician needs to facilitate patient flow Establish and maintain effective working relations with physicians, management and staff Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Clinical experience required EMR knowledge of ECW and EPIC Medical scribing experience with electronic medical records preferred for some positions Must be proficient in typing and good at spelling, punctuation, and grammar Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone and in writing Must be highly detail-oriented Must have professional demeanor, conduct, and work ethic Must be available whenever the physician is working, including early mornings and/or late evenings.
Education:
High School diploma (or equivalent) required. Additional certification and/or degree in healthcare field preferred.
Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate with work experience . Please include a cover letter, CV or resume, references and availability.
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
