Job Description

Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator (Cross-Trained) University Foot Associates - Gurnee, IL University Foot Associates is a busy, growing podiatry practice seeking a dependable, energetic, and patient-focused team member to join our staff. This is a cross-trained position that combines both Medical Assistant and Front Office responsibilities. You'll rotate between assisting physicians with patient care and helping patients at the front desk, making every day different and rewarding. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced medical office, helping patients, and being part of a supportive team, we'd love to meet you. ResponsibilitiesClinical (Medical Assistant) Room patients and obtain medical histories Assist physicians with examinations and in-office procedures Prepare treatment rooms and instruments Apply dressings and assist with patient care Clean and stock exam rooms Take X-RAYS Draw up medications Perform additional treatment modalities. Maintain accurate electronic medical records Front Office Welcome and check in patients Answer incoming phone calls Schedule appointments Verify insurance and collect patient payments Assist with referrals and general administrative duties Deliver exceptional customer service from check-in to check-out Qualifications Medical Assistant experience preferred (certification is a plus but not required) Previous medical office experience preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Positive attitude with a willingness to learn Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Dependable, punctual, and a true team player Comfortable working in both clinical and administrative settings Schedule Full-time Weekday schedule with regular Saturday clinic hours (9:00 AM-1:00 PM) Saturday availability is required One weekday off during the week when working Saturday What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off Paid holidays Friendly, supportive work environment Opportunity for growth and advancement At University Foot Associates, every member of our team plays an important role in providing outstanding patient care.
