Job Description

Express Healthcare is assisting a family practice clinic serving the Highwood community. We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong clinical and administrative capabilities.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Job Type:
Part-time Key Responsibilities Clinical Care:
Conduct patient interviews (history, meds, allergies), perform injections, nebulizer treatments, visual acuity tests, and TB testing.
Phlebotomy:
Perform blood draws, verify requisitions, and prepare puncture sites. (Must have phlebotomy skills).
Clinic Flow:
Prepare and stock exam rooms; coordinate patient referrals.
Administrative:
Assist with triage, answer phones, take accurate messages, and ensure patient charts/records remain confidential and up to date.
Collaboration:
Work under the supervision of the Medical Director to implement patient treatment plans.
Requirements General:
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or nursing program. Current BLS/CPR certification . Must pass drug screening, background check, and provide 2 professional references. One year of ambulatory care experience (Preferred).
Role-Specific:
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
Skills & Physical Demands Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively or independently with minimal supervision.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction and triage.
Physical:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; frequent sitting, standing, and bending. #
INDHC Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
