  • Medical Assistant We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our growing Cosmetic Dermatology team at Derm Collective North Shore.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about aesthetics, exceptional patientcare, and helping patients feel confident in their skin. As an essential member of our cosmetic team, you will work alongside providers specializing in aesthetic dermatology, supporting a wide range of cosmetic procedures including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, laser treatments, and medical-grade skincare. You will play an integral role in delivering a seamless, elevated patient experience while ensuring our clinic operates efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate is polished, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced cosmetic practice. Previous experience assisting with aesthetic procedures and building relationships with cosmetic patients is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Assist providers during cosmetic consultations and procedures, including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, lasers, body contouring, and other aesthetic treatments. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, supplies, and equipment while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. Perform patient intake, review medical histories, document treatments accurately, and assist with photography as appropriate. Educate patients on pre
  • and post-treatment instructions, skincare recommendations, and follow-up care.
Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and coding. Coordinate scheduling, treatment planning, follow-up appointments, and patient communication to ensure an exceptional experience from consultation through recovery. Assist with inventory management, stocking treatment rooms, and maintaining cosmetic products and supplies. Deliver outstanding customer service by creating a welcoming, luxury experience for every patient. Additional duties as assigned. Skills Strong knowledge of dermatology practices, skin anatomy, physiology, common dermatological conditions, and aesthetic treatments. Experience assisting with injectables, laser procedures, and other cosmetic services in a private, multi-specialty dermatology practice setting is highly preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with cosmetic patients. Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks including intake procedures, scheduling, and documentation. Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding to accurately record clinical data. Understanding of vital signs measurement, medication administration protocols, and basic anatomy knowledge. Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have:
Minimum of 2 years of dermatology experience , including significant experience supporting cosmetic dermatology providers. Demonstrated proficiency in cosmetic dermatology terminology, patient education, and assisting with aesthetic procedures.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) preferred.
