Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions.Where You Will Work :
Based out of Christ Medical Center Weekly travel to South Suburban Hospital Rare travel to Trinity Hospital for coverage needsWe're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify. Phlebotomy skills are preferred .What You'll Do:

About This Location:
Advocate Christ Medical Center Hematology/Oncology in Oak Lawn, IL, delivers comprehensive cancer care to patients across South Chicagoland. Our multidisciplinary program supports patients through the full cancer continuum, including diagnosis, infusion therapy, survivorship, and coordination of complex treatment plans. Our team provides care for a broad range of hematologic and oncologic conditions, offering services such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, care coordination, patient education, and symptom management. We work closely with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and specialty services to ensure seamless, patient-centered care. Located on the Advocate Christ Medical Center campus, our clinic offers a collaborative, high-acuity environment with strong interdisciplinary support and a commitment to quality outcomes and compassionate care. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.Must be able to:
push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present. Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions. Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines. Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed. May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
