QualDerm Partners is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mohs Surgery Assistant to join our Orland Park, IL team. We are a leading dermatology group committed to providing exceptional patient care in skin cancer treatment and aesthetic services. As an Assistant in our Mohs Surgery department, you will play a key role in supporting surgical procedures and ensuring patients receive the best care possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by conducting initial assessments, obtaining medical history, and taking vital signs. Assist surgeons during Mohs surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and supplies are ready and sterile. Provide post-operative instructions and care guidance to patients. Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment abiding by safety and infection control protocols. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Coordinate scheduling and follow-up appointments for patients. Educate patients about the procedure and answer any questions to alleviate concerns. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred. Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a surgical or dermatology setting, preferably with Mohs surgery. Knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and patient care protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, focused on patient comfort and education. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software. Compensation Range:
$19.65
  • $25.
23 per hour. Final offer will be based on a combination of skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
