This position plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within a fast-paced dermatology and cosmetic medical practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, experience with electronic health records (EHR), and a commitment to providing outstanding patient service. Experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, or outpatient clinic settings is highly preferred. Responsibilities Perform patient intake, including obtaining vital signs and documenting medical histories. Assist providers with dermatologic and cosmetic procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Administer medications and injections as directed and assist with wound care. Accurately document patient encounters using EHR systems. Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure instructions. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment and adhere to infection control standards. Assist with scheduling, patient communications, and other administrative duties as needed. Perform patient triage and respond appropriately to patient concerns. Process and manage prior authorizations for medications and treatments. Qualifications Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant or Certified Dermatology Technician required. Previous experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, or outpatient clinical settings preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding. Experience with EHR systems, medication administration, and collection of vital signs preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive patient experience. Schedule Requirements Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, as scheduled, and at least one Saturday per month. Work schedules and hours may be adjusted based on the needs of the practice.
