Job Description

Advanced Orthopedic and Spine Care is seeking a skilled and dependable Experienced Orthopedic Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our practice operates smoothly and efficiently across both our Tinley Park and Oak Lawn locations. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic care and will work closely with providers and staff to support both clinical and administrative functions.
Key responsibilities include:
Interviewing patients and accurately documenting medical history. Organizing and scheduling patient appointments. Updating and maintaining medical records in the EMR system. Coordinating hospital admissions and laboratory services. Assisting physicians during medical examinations and procedures. Managing correspondence, including memos, letters, faxes, and forms. Preparing and sanitizing treatment rooms and medical instruments. Ensuring seamless patient flow throughout the clinic.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong knowledge of orthopedic terminology and procedures. Proficiency in wound care, including suture, stitch, and staple removal. Experience applying and removing splints and casts. Familiarity with medical first aid protocols. Proficiency in EMR systems and strong computer skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work 1-2 late evenings per month and one weekend day each month as part of the regular schedule.
