Your responsibilities include assisting nurses in various activities, leveraging your education and demonstrated competencies to contribute effectively to the healthcare team. This role demands a commitment to supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care while collaborating closely with the nursing staff. Qualifications & Requirements Education + Successful completion of an accredited CMA course. Experience + Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred. Licenses/Certifications + Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State if certification is required by the State or the facility. + Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification if required. Key Responsibilities + Collaborate with RNs and healthcare staff, implementing established policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of quality patient care, intervening with proper techniques and safety precautions. + Gather patient history, verify medications, and make appropriate referrals for follow-up, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive healthcare support. + Adhere to designated work schedules, responding effectively to codes or patient crises as per site policies, and assist healthcare practitioners as assigned. + Prioritize infection control techniques and principles, contributing to the emotional and physical comfort and safety of patients. + Maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment, attending mandatory staff meetings/training to uphold a high standard of healthcare delivery and professional development.
