Job Description
A well-established private practice group of 11 pathologists, located in the Southern Indiana has an immediate opening for a second pathologists' assistant position. This practice handles over 40,000 specimens annually. Typically less than 10 autopsies per year. The hospital is in the process of building a new histology lab with new modern grossing facilities. The successful applicant will be a graduate from an accredited pathologists' assistant program or be ASCP certified or exam eligible. They will possess the ability to handle a wide range of surgical pathology specimens. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Evansville is a mid-sized city located on the banks of the Ohio River in Southern Indiana. Conveniently located near Louisville, Nashville, St. Louis, and Indianapolis. Evansville has two universities and a branch campus of Indiana University school of medicine. There are also numerous festivals as well as a minor league professional baseball and hockey team. The city also has wonderful city parks, museums and a zoo. It is the global headquarters and home to several major manufacturing companies.
