Non-Exempt (Hourly) Position Summary The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for providing high-quality clinical and administrative support to physicians and patients in a fast-paced Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice. The MA assists with patient care, coordinates clinical workflows, performs administrative duties, and contributes to a positive patient experience while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and organizational policies. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical experience. Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or equivalent) preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn electronic medical records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Preferred Qualifications One (1) or more years of experience in outpatient facilities. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Experience performing phlebotomy. Experience administering vaccines. Experience with prior authorizations and insurance verification. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Pay:
$15.00 - $23.00 per hour
