Our expertise spans dermatology, gastroenterology, and pathology, with multiple office locations dedicated to delivering comprehensive patient care through experienced medical professionals. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated MOHS Medical Assistant to support our dermatology and surgical teams in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical assisting skills, including clinical and administrative support, with experience in dermatology or hospital medicine. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on patient-centered care and surgical procedures. Responsibilities Assist dermatologists during MOHS micrographic surgery procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment in compliance with safety standards. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support patient intake processes, including documentation of medical histories, medication lists, and relevant health information. Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens as needed for diagnostic testing or laboratory analysis. Manage medical records by updating documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and proper filing within electronic health records systems. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience during visits. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with background in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient settings. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and ICD coding for accurate documentation. Strong understanding of patient care protocols including intake procedures, vital signs measurement, and medication administration. Prior inpatient or Level I/II trauma center experience is advantageous; experience with X-ray or emergency medicine is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
