We are looking for a dependable, organized, compassionate team member who can confidently balance front-office communication, clinical responsibilities, medication and prior authorization tasks, and procedural support . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, works well with patients and providers, and is willing to take on a variety of responsibilities throughout the day. ResponsibilitiesClinic & Patient Communication Answer incoming clinic phone calls and assist patients with questions and concerns Respond to patient emails and other clinic communications in a timely and professional manner Communicate with pharmacies, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other medical offices as needed Assist patients with medication-related questions and requests according to clinic protocols Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional, compassionate demeanor Prior Authorizations & Administrative Duties Process and follow up on prior authorizations for medications Assist with NRI-related tasks and documentation Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Assist with scheduling, patient coordination, and other clinic duties Clinical Clinic Duties Room patients and obtain/document vital signs Obtain and update medical histories, medication lists, and other clinical information Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist physicians with clinical evaluations and procedures Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider Assist with injections and other clinical tasks within the scope of certification and clinic protocols Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas Follow infection-control, safety, and regulatory standards Assist with patient flow and ensure a positive patient experience Surgery Center & Procedural Duties Assist physicians and clinical staff with procedures in the surgery center Prepare procedure rooms and ensure appropriate supplies and equipment are available Assist with C-arm/fluoroscopy procedures as trained and directed Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required Previous medical assistant experience (1-2 years) Experience in pain management, surgery, orthopedics, or another procedural specialty is a plus Previous C-arm/fluoroscopy experience preferred Experience with prior authorizations and medication/refill requests preferred Strong telephone and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and patient-focused Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team C-arm experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
