Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, hospitals, or specialty departments. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Collect laboratory specimens such as blood samples through phlebotomy techniques and prepare them for testing. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring precise documentation of patient information, medical history, and treatment plans. Support medical administrative tasks including patient intake, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, ICD coding, and maintaining medical records. Assist with medication administration under supervision and ensure proper medication documentation in compliance with safety protocols. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines or other imaging tools when required for specific specialties like radiology or emergency medicine. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in hospital or outpatient settings to deliver seamless patient care. Skills Strong knowledge of dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, surgical procedures, and emergency medicine practices. Proven experience in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or Level I/II trauma centers with inpatient or PICU experience preferred. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) management and EMR/EHR documentation standards. Skilled in phlebotomy techniques and specimen handling for laboratory testing. Excellent understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding practices, and pharmacology principles. Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and efficiently while providing compassionate patient service. Familiarity with hospital experience protocols including Level I trauma center procedures or OR experience is a plus. Competence in X-ray operation or other diagnostic imaging tools when applicable. Knowledge of medication administration procedures within scope of practice and safety guidelines. Strong organizational skills for managing medical office operations effectively in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or hospital settings.
