35-40 per week Full Job Description A well-established pain management practice located in the East Jefferson/Metairie area is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with proven clinical experience to join our growing team. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with no evenings or weekends — offering the work-life balance you deserve while making a meaningful difference in the lives of chronic pain patients every day. What You Will Do Prepare and room patients, obtain and record vital signs, and document chief complaints accurately in EMR Assist providers with pain management procedures, treatments, and clinical protocols Administer medications and injections per provider orders Coordinate prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription management Maintain exam rooms including restocking, sterilization, and equipment checks Support scheduling, phone triage, and front-to-back office flow as needed Share daily clinical and administrative duties as an active team member Required Experience & Qualifications Active CMA certification through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or equivalent — required Minimum 2 years of clinical Medical Assistant experience — required Experience in pain management, orthopedics, or specialty/procedure-based practice — strongly preferred Proficient in EMR/EHR platforms and accurate clinical documentation Demonstrated experience with injections, clinical procedures, and specialty workflows Ability to commute within 15-20 miles of East Jefferson Hospital — required Skills Clinical & Vital Signs Documentation Injection & Procedure Assistance Prior Authorization & Referral Processing EMR/EHR Proficiency Exam Room Management Patient Communication & Triage Team Collaboration & Shared Duty Management Time Management & Multitasking Education High school diploma or equivalent — required Medical Assistant certification program — required Active CMA credential — required This Job Is a
