Job DescriptionCarroll Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare family! We are a small, close-knit family practice with two providers that takes great pride in delivering high-quality, compassionate care and excellent service to our patients. Our office is known for its warm, home-like atmosp, w patients feel comfortable, valued, and truly cared for.
We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant who is friendly, outgoing, mature, and reliable to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a supportive environment and understands that teamwork is essential in a small practice.
The ideal candidate is a true team player—someone who is willing to help wver needed and understands that in a small practice, everyone contributes beyond just their assigned tasks. Punctuality and dependability are a must—you are expected to show up on time and ready to work.
Job RequirementsPerform patient intake procedures including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms.
Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
Assist with procedures such as medication administration, injections, and basic wound care.
Support physicians with diagnostic tests including basic laboratory tasks (blood draw, A1C, urine dip etc.)Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Prepare examination rooms and assist during visits.
Clean examination rooms and make sure they are always stocked.
Ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently in all clinical areas.
Answer patient phones calls, portal messages and phone messages in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure that prescription refills are sent
- If prior authorization is required, you are responsible for providing the needed information in order to help the patient obtain the necessary medication.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environmentSupport coworkers with additional tasks as needed to keep the office running smoothlyCertified Medical Assistant (required)Prior experience in healthcare is highly preferred.
Additional certifications related to medicine and/or hospital experience are beneficial.
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, medication administration etc.
Hands-on experience with patients and procedures is a plus.
