Spanish-Speaking Medical Assistant - Ambulatory Surgery Center Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, versatile, and compassionate Spanish-speaking Medical Assistant to join our growing ambulatory surgery center team. This role is ideal for a dependable professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is comfortable supporting both back-office clinical operations and front-desk administrative functions as needed. The Medical Assistant will play an essential role in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring efficient clinic flow, and creating a positive patient experience from check-in through recovery. Responsibilities Clinical Duties Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and perform patient intake Assist providers with examinations and procedures Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing Assist with ultrasound procedures and minor surgical procedures Provide operating room support, including sterile technique and procedural setup Monitor and assist patients in the recovery area under provider supervision Prepare and clean exam and procedure rooms Maintain clinical supplies, inventory, and equipment Administrative & Front Desk Support Greet and register patients in a professional and compassionate manner Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and assist with phone triage Verify patient information and maintain accurate medical records in the EMR system Provide basic administrative and billing support as needed Assist with Spanish/English translation and interpretation for patients and staff Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required Current BLS/CPR certification required Fluency in both Spanish and English required Previous medical office, outpatient clinic, or ambulatory surgery experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, and HIPAA compliance Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Professional demeanor with excellent patient service skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications Ability to adapt and assist in both clinical and administrative roles as needed

Pay:

From $20.50 per hour
