This position also includes occasional administrative responsibilities and cross-training opportunities to support the overall success of the practice. We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized individual who enjoys working in a team-based environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages.
Clinical Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs Documenting patient histories and chief concerns Assisting providers during examinations and procedures Administering vaccines and injectable medications Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Conducting EKGs, spirometry, bladder scans, AAA screenings, and other clinical testing Providing patient education and follow-up instructions Removing sutures and changing dressings Maintaining exam room readiness and medical supplies Monitoring required clinical logs and quality control processes Supporting providers in delivering efficient, patient-centered care Administrative Responsibilities Responsibilities may include: Answering and routing telephone calls Managing patient messages and clinical communications Scheduling appointments Updating and maintaining patient records Assisting with front-office workflows when needed Supporting team operations through cross-training and collaboration Qualifications Current Medical Assistant Certification required Primary care experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care Willingness to cross-train and support both clinical and administrative functions Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team Why Wiscasset Family Health? $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
