Job Description

Part-time Medical Assistant wanted for a dermatology clinic to provide support to Physicians and provide outstanding clinical care for Patients. We are looking for a team player with the following attributes: Highly organized Detail-oriented Willing to flex between clinical and administrative roles as needed Capable of maintaining a fast pace Sense of humor Pursuit of excellence in providing service and results Good performance under pressure Empathy for the fearful or apprehensive patient Computer/tech literacy is a must Comfortable with change and ability to adapt to a growing environment Comfortable communicating with patients in-person and on the phone While previous experience working in a medical or dermatology clinic is a plus, it is also an opportunity for individuals looking to break into the medical field. We will teach you everything you need to know!
Job Responsibilities:
Welcoming patients into the clinic and assisting with check-in, including insurance verification and eligibility Patient intake: Reviewing allergies, medications, medical history, and the patient's reason for their visit Assisting physician with documentation and procedures Working as a team to provide efficient clinic flow from check-in to check-out Handles patient calls and questions in a timely manner Assist in placing referrals, processing prior authorizations, obtaining outside medical records, and updating medical information Helping to manage and update a skin cancer log Help maintain the clinic work areas, exam rooms, etc. Protects patients' privacy and confidentiality of their information Helps the team by performing tasks as needed and contributing to process improvements Cares deeply about patients and is always willing to go the extra mile What we are looking for We are not able to accept applications from current students at this time, unless you are taking a gap year.
