Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies Assist nurses and medical assistants to ensure quality care and measures are provided to patients Operate office equipment, such as voice mail messaging systems, and use word processing, spreadsheet, or other software applications to prepare reports, letters, case histories, or medical records Interview patients to complete documents, case histories, or forms, such as intake or insurance forms, PA's, and denial appeals Receive and route messages or documents, such as laboratory results, to appropriate staff or patients Explain medications, diets, or providers' instructions to patients Compile and record medical charts, reports, or correspondence Transmit correspondence or medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as scanning, scheduling, placing orders per the providers request, maintaining information files and processing paperwork, such as, sports physicals, health appraisals, FMLA, and disability forms Entering, and maintaining information in written or electronic form related to patient care Patient and bucket follow-up Monthly completion of Eagle training Other duties as assigned High School Diploma or GED Minimum of two (2) yeas of medical office/hospital setting experience Medical Assistant Certification, preferred Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
