As the Lead Medical Assistant, you will coordinate patient care activities, support clinical staff, and ensure efficient office management while maintaining the highest standards of patient service and safety. Responsibilities Supervise daily clinical operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to healthcare protocols alongside another LEAD MA Provide advanced medical assisting support Assist with rooming the patient, taking vital signs, medical and preparation for examinations, surgeries or procedures. Perform phlebotomy, medication administration, perform injections and chart this appropriately to assure patient safety and accurate billing Manage electronic health records we currently use ATHENA, ensuring accurate documentation of medical records and coding (ICD coding) for billing purposes. Oversee inventory of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals while maintaining compliance with safety standards. Mentor and train staff on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology, and proper use of EMR/EHR systems to promote professional development. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with at lease 2 years of OB/GYN experience Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding practices. Demonstrated leadership skills with prior experience managing or supervising medical office teams. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required Excellent patient service skills with the ability to handle intake procedures efficiently while maintaining compassion and professionalism.
