Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our OB/GYN practice. Previous Medical Assistant 1+ year is required. OB/GYN experienced is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have strong communication skills, work well with a team, MUST be receptive to constructive feedback, and willing to learn within the practice. We are looking for someone who can maintain a positive attitude, and provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for our patients. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring all steps adhere to safety and hygiene standards Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging supplies, and ensuring all necessary tools are ready for use Collect patient information, including medical history, vital signs, and current symptoms, accurately documenting all details in electronic health records (EHR) systems Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on urgency and severity of conditions Manage medical records with strict confidentiality, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation of all medical interactions Handle medical software efficiently for scheduling appointments, updating patient files, and managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to health regulation policies Qualifications 1+ yearProven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare support role with acute care experience preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and nursing principles Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record-keeping Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to handle confidential information responsibly Ability to perform triage effectively and manage emergency situations confidently Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Leadership qualities in nursing or healthcare settings are a plus for those interested in advancing within the field Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering outstanding patient care while advancing your career in the healthcare industry!
