Full Job Description Summary:

Wellness company in Farmington Hills, MI is looking for a part time MRI technician Assistant in Farmington, MI to work 24 hours per week, 3 days per week.

Job Description :

MRI/CT tech. assistant is responsible for administrative tasks, answering questions about MRI procedures, using PACs and MS office to record necessary documentation for MRI study and communicating with patients and family. This person will assist the MRI/CT tech with their duties including paperwork and patient care (such as moving or positioning the patient.) Clinical duties include taking patients' medical history, MRI/CT safety interview and screening, escorting patients to and from the MRI/CT department and positioning patients in the MRI scanner. Must be able to lift 30 lbs and assist in helping patients onto the MRI table. Primarily located in Farmington Hills, Novi, and Sterling Heights. Some local travel may be required. This position is part-time, 3 days per week (availability needed for Thursday and Friday).

Requirements:

Assist the radiology technologist with duties Some medical office experience is helpful Computer Skills in MS Word, Excel Ability to perform all responsibilities as a professional with diligence to established professional codes of conduct and ethics Ability to interview and screen patients of all age groups related to safety issues with magnetic resonance imaging. Ability to establish and maintain a positive relationship with patients, physicians, and other Medical Center staff. Knowledge of hazards involved in MRI work and precautions necessary in handling such hazards. Work with an attitude of teamwork, which is focused on the provision of quality patient and family centered care in a safe, efficient, effective and timely manner. Maintain and display knowledge and understanding of the importance of accurate and timely documentation of care. Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Certification must be maintained during life of employment. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Ability to deal with stressful demands due to patient flow, emergencies and stat requests, and multiple interruptions.
