May need to float to other areas Requirements Minimum 2 years of MA experince Certified medical assistant required May float to other areas Jobs and responsibilities Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and patient information. Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures. Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, injections, and other MA duties within scope. Prepare and clean examination rooms and maintain medical supplies. Schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in/check-out. Update and maintain accurate EHR/EMR documentation. Handle laboratory specimens, labeling, processing, and proper transportation. Follow HIPAA, infection-control, and safety protocols. Float between different clinics, specialties, or units as needed. Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, patients, and other healthcare staff. Help maintain smooth workflow during busy periods and provide coverage for staff shortages
