Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support within a busy medical practice, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient service. This role involves managing medical records, scheduling, billing, and supporting clinical staff with documentation and data entry. The Medical Office Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensuring accurate medical documentation. Duties
- Scheduling and confirming appointments and maintaining office workflow
- Covering the front office desk, including patient check-in and check-out
- Answering and responding to phone calls and voicemails
- Performing insurance verification
- Rooming patients and obtaining vitals
- Obtaining prior authorization for diagnostic tests and medications
- Completing chart review requests
- Maintaining medical records and filing systems
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations
