Duties Greet patients warmly and verify their demographic and insurance information using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and manage patient intake processes efficiently. Collect vital signs, perform basic clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, and assist with medication administration under supervision. Update and maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical history, progress notes, and ICD coding for billing purposes. Support clinical staff by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and assisting during procedures in dermatology or hospital settings. Manage incoming calls professionally, answer patient inquiries, and coordinate follow-up appointments or referrals. Ensure all patient records are organized according to medical records regulations and assist with EMR/EHR management for seamless data entry and retrieval. Maintain a clean, organized front desk area while providing outstanding patient service to foster trust and satisfaction. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or administrative support within healthcare settings such as dermatology, urgent care, or hospital medicine. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools to ensure accurate recordkeeping. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse patient populations including geriatrics and inpatient cases. Basic life support (BLS) certification is required to handle emergency situations confidently. Familiarity with phlebotomy techniques, medication administration protocols, vital signs collection, and intake procedures. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in medical records and documentation.
