What You'll Do as an Ophthalmic Technician As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play an important role in providing exceptional patient care by: Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visit. Performing patient testing and gathering important medical information. Preparing patients for examination by the physician. Performing visual acuity testing, patient histories, and diagnostic testing. Assisting physicians with patient care and procedures. Educating patients on testing, procedures, and next steps in their care. Maintaining accurate and complete patient records. Working closely with doctors, clinical teams, and support staff. Helping create a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
