• Description:

• Relief position coverage for vacation and FMLA openings. Medical Assistants work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of licensed clinical professionals in a clinic or practice environment. MAs are expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. Be the person that makes the difference every day in our patients' lives.
• What you will do:
• + Room set up and patient preparation + Taking vitals (Manual & Electronic) + Perform EKG + Drawing blood and giving injections and immunizations. + Performing office tests (Point of Care Testing) + Pharmacology + Administrative duties + May perform or assisting with in-office procedures / treatments

Education- Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Successful completion of accredited/approved:

MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program. +

• Credentials/Licensure (Preferred):
• Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies:

American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)American Medical Technologists (RMA)National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)National Healthcareer Association (CCMA)National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) +

• Related Experience- Minimum:

• In absence of completed MA Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills.

• Preferred:

• New graduate or 1 or more years of previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
