Clinical Duties:
Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for physician examinations. Assist healthcare providers during exams, procedures, and treatments. Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.) and patient medical histories. Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for laboratory testing. Conduct and assist with X-rays in accordance with safety protocols. Label, handle, and process specimen collections accurately and efficiently. Operate and maintain medical equipment and diagnostic tools. Enter patient data and clinical notes into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, sanitized, and fully stocked. Follow strict infection control and safety procedures. 2.
Administrative Duties:
Greet patients and verify/update medical records in the EMR system. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages accurately to providers. Manage inventory of medical and cleaning supplies; ensure equipment is functioning. Support scheduling, patient reminders, and front-desk coverage as needed. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies. 3.
Communication and Patient Care:
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients regarding their care. Provide basic patient education on procedures, medications, and wellness practices. Maintain professionalism, patient confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times. Work collaboratively with other staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
Phlebotomy experience required. Experience with X-ray procedures Specimen collection and handling experience. Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred . Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, and clinical protocols. Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
