We focus on treating the whole person by combining the best of conventional medicine with evidence-based complementary therapies. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and organized Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering excellent patient care and contribute to our mission of offering holistic health solutions. Responsibilities:
Assist with patient intake, including taking vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, etc.) and recording medical history. Support Provider in performing examinations and medical procedures. Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and answering questions. Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations. Administer injections, immunizations, and other treatments as directed by the physician. Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and sterility. Draw blood and perform laboratory tests as needed. Document patient encounters and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in family medicine, integrative medicine, or a related field. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and EHR systems. Ability to take vitals, administer injections, draw blood, and assist with minor medical procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach. A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with integrative or holistic health practices is a plus but not required. Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
