Job Description

The Rochester Medical Center (www.rochestermedicalcenter.com) seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Medical Assistant / Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients, is organized and detail-oriented, and can confidently balance both front-office and clinical responsibilities. We are a multi-disciplinary practice that includes Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, and Vascular. Additionally, we have a fully accredited diagnostic facilities including nuclear, CT, ultrasound and x-ray. This position is for Monday-Thursday from 8am-5pm.
Clinical/Medical Assistant Duties:
Room patients and obtain vital signs Obtain and document medical histories Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist providers with clinical needs Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, or other clinical duties as applicable Collect and process specimens as needed Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and clinical areas Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and infection-control procedures
Front Office:
Greet and check in/check out patients in a professional and welcoming manner Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility Collect copays and patient balances Maintain accurate patient records Assist with referrals, authorizations, and medical records as needed Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and staff Qualifications Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Professional, dependable, and compassionate Experience with EMR/EHR System is a plus
