In this vital role, you will provide hands-on support in outpatient and inpatient settings, including specialized areas such as dermatology, emergency medicine, geriatrics, and hospital medicine. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks like medication administration, wound care, X-ray preparation, and basic life support during emergencies. Support patient service efforts by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring a comfortable experience across outpatient and inpatient settings. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to accurately document patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment plans. Athena EMR experience preferred. Conduct assessments related to physiology and anatomy knowledge to support diagnosis and treatment processes. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist with minor procedures in various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, or surgical clinics. Support hospital experience requirements by assisting in Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center environments when needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in emergency medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or medical-surgical units to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Experience Prior clinic experience in outpatient or inpatient settings is highly preferred. Experience working within hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances your candidacy. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration is essential. Demonstrated ability to operate EHR systems efficiently and accurately document patient encounters. Familiarity with X-ray procedures or OR (Operating Room) experience is a plus. Background in specialties like geriatrics, internal medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine will strengthen your application. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to hospital medicine or dermatology are advantageous.
