The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of clinical and administrative duties, with experience in various medical settings including dermatology and urgent care. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting medical staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise in medical procedures and administrative support will directly impact patient outcomes and satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments across multiple specialties such as dermatology, pediatrics and geriatrics. Collect patient vital signs, medical histories, and perform intake assessments to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all clinical areas adhere to safety and sanitation standards. Perform phlebotomy procedures for blood draws and handle specimen collection for laboratory testing. Support medication administration under supervision, including inventory management of pharmaceuticals and supplies. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations such as ICD coding and medical terminology standards. Skills Knowledge of dermatology and urgent care protocols Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to diverse clinical environments. Experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS). Ability to perform medical assisting tasks such as specimen collection, patient intake, and documentation accurately. Familiarity with medical records management. Excellent patient service skills combined with compassionate communication abilities to foster trust and comfort. Demonstrated capability in medical office management tasks including scheduling support and administrative coordination.
