In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital units, and specialized departments such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and intensive care. Your expertise in medical procedures, patient support, and clinical documentation will ensure seamless patient experiences and uphold the highest standards of healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as administering medications, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) procedures. Support diagnostic processes by preparing patients for X-ray imaging or other outpatient testing; operate basic imaging equipment when trained. Document patient encounters accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems; ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and ICD coding requirements. Conduct assessments related to physiology and anatomy knowledge to support diagnosis and treatment planning across diverse specialties like internal medicine, geriatrics, or surgical units. Manage medical administrative duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and processing referrals for specialty care such as dermatology or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit). Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment by following infection control protocols; assist with inpatient care or hospital medicine tasks in Level I or Level II trauma centers as needed. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics or hospital settings to deliver comprehensive patient service. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited program; Med Tech certification preferred. Prior experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics; experience in dermatology or surgical units is advantageous. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Hands-on experience with EHR systems; familiarity with X-ray equipment operation is a plus. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs collection, intake assessments, and basic life support (BLS). Experience working in inpatient settings or Level I/II trauma centers; familiarity with hospital experience including Geriatrics or PICU is desirable.
