This vital role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring patients receive exceptional care from check-in to discharge. You will be instrumental in managing patient flow, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining accurate records within a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Your energy and attention to detail will directly contribute to delivering high-quality healthcare experiences across diverse medical specialties including cardiology, endocrinology, pediatrics, urgent care, internal medicine, and hospital medicine. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and facilitate smooth patient intake processes. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assist clinicians in patient assessments. Prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies and assist providers during examinations or procedures Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) by documenting patient histories, symptoms, treatments, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and other relevant medical information. Support clinical staff with tasks such as specimen collection, basic physiology or anatomy-related support, and assisting with inpatient or outpatient care procedures. Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and coordinate referrals across various specialties Handle administrative duties including answering phones, managing patient check-in/out processes, updating patient records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology Experience working in clinics Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and billing purposes. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations. Familiarity with ICD coding for accurate diagnosis documentation Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
